Abstract
This paper was given as a keynote speech at the University of Cork. It discusses the implications of fictional web series and ARG evolving around signal-intrusions of live broadcasts of TV shows or instructional videos to our understanding of the authenticity of audiovisual records and our perceived nostalgia for analogue technologies.
