Abstract
Decolonising Wikipedia x London’s Colonial Her/Histories panel discussion that took place on Tuesday 8th February 2022, hosted by the University of the Arts London. Including guest presentations from representatives of the following projects and discussing how and why this knowledge could be accessed via Wikimedia: London Metropolitan Archive’s Switching the Lens - Rediscovering Londoners of African, Caribbean, Asian and Indigenous Heritage, 1561 to 1840; Chiswick House and Garden’s Black Chiswick through History; and UCL’s Centre for the Study of the Legacies of British Slavery. Facilitated by Lucy Panesar (former UAL Wikimedian in Residence), Alex Duncan, (Arts + Feminism Edit-a-thon host), and Dr. Ileana L. Selejan (Research Fellow at the UAL Decolonising Arts Institute).
