Abstract
Edgar Wind (1900-1971) fu uno stretto collaboratore di Aby Warburg e continuò i suoi studi sulla sopravvivenza dell’antico nell’arte del Rinascimento. Nel 1933, in seguito all’avvento del nazismo in Germania, trasferì la Biblioteca Warburg a Londra per poi lasciarla definitivamente nel 1945 in seguito ai forti contrasti con il suo direttore, Fritz Saxl, riguardo all’impostazione da dare alle ricerche dell’istituto.
