Abstract
'Limbo Land' is a video installation in which sound and image play an almost equal and independent part, functioning autonomously as well as complementing each other, without ever being exactly synchronized. The artist does not look death in the face but rather harks back to the possible memories of a deceased person: footsteps, whispers, laughs, abandoned clothes, unanswered for messages, the loaded atmosphere during the wake, ... The gaps between the images and the sound samples that were borrowed from various sources, create a tension that refers to the state of loss.
