Abstract

Source/description: Components of shell thickness quantitative trait loci (QTL) at 53 weeks of age (ST53) and egg albumin weight QTL at 33 weeks of age (AW33) were previously shown to be linked to microsatellite markers, MCW0114 and MCW0170, respectively. Microsatellites, ADL0241 and LEI0081, were also estimated to lie close to the ST53 and AW33 QTLs, respectively, based on existing chicken genetic maps.
