Abstract
Alternating between sequences which float across a landscape strewn with abandoned clothes, and a bedroom containing a vigil around an unseen figure, a sound recordist is seen to be responding to a phone-call giving instructions as to the appropriate sound to use for an unspecified "ending". In her attempt to locate the 'correct' sound she tests numerous samples of field recordings from a DAT machine, 'inadvertently' making them the soundtrack for the film.
