Abstract

Interactive audiovisual installation involving a water-bed, horizontal projection screen, LeapMotion sensor, microcontroller and pressure sensor, and running via TouchDesigner and Arduino.

“zones of flow (iv)” is an interactive audiovisual installation that invites people to rest between two bodies of water: a water bed and a back-lit projection screen where moving images of water surfaces are projected. Lying down, the visitor is flowing and sandwiched between visual representations of water and a body of water itself – the waterbed – while also being surrounded by sounds, which add another dimension of immersion to the experience.
