Abstract
Presentation of deliberate synaesthesia as deployed in practice-based mapping of smellscapes including visual tools and techniques. Also the possibilities for shared communication of smell as sequential experience based on the practice of itinerary mapping as deployed by 12C monks. Leading to discussion of the importance of imagination when communicating smell.
