Abstract
This report addresses the Network’s aim to promote understanding of the historic environment by developing a research strategy and proposals for future work. It suggests that while key components of the heritage of the Lincolnshire Wolds are well known, there is more work to be done if heritage is to be seen as an essential aspect of landscape decisions. This includes (a) explaining the historic environment’s collective contribution over time to the distinctive character of the Wolds landscape at a variety of spatial scales
