By the example of the analysis of cytogenetic maps and chromosome rearrangements of eight bird species, the feasibility of successful application of current genomic methods and technologies for identifying general and specific features of genome organization and in-depth understanding of the fundamental laws of evolution of avian genomes has been shown. An interpretation of the observed genomic “variadicity” and specific chromosome rearrangements has been proposed, which is consistent with the available information on the general organization and variability of the genomes of certain avian species and systematic groups.

На примере анализа цитогенетических карт и хромосомных перестроек восьми видов птиц показана возможность успешного применения современных геномных методов и технологий для выявления общих и специфических особенностей геномной организации и углубленного понимания фундаментальных закономерностей эволюции птичьих геномов. Предложена интерпретация наблюдаемой геномной вариативности и специфических хромосомных перестроек, которая согласуется с имеющейся информацией об общей организации и изменчивости геномов тех или иных видов и систематических групп птиц.
