Abstract
We discuss a generalisation of the relativistic spin-polarised KKR-CPA to calculate the electronic structure of random substitutional alloys with magnetic moments pointing in arbitrary directions. The theory is illustrated with a calculation of the electronic structure of the alloy Fe_c(up)Fe_(1-c)(down) for several values of c. For this example we use the experimental magnetisation curve to parameterise the magnetic moment and find the MXCD spectra as a function of temperature.
