Abstract
We present a full theory of magnetic dichroism in absorption in itinerant magnets based on the multiple scattering theory.
This is a generalizatton of earlier work, which unifies circular and linear dichroism. We illustrate the theory in the alloy Fe_(0.8)Co_(0.2)
