Abstract
Editorial.
The concept for this special section of the journal arose from the Second International
Symposium on Health Assets in a Global Context: Theory Methods Action, London
(2011), a two day event designed to consider the translation of the asset model into policy,
research and practise. The purpose of this special section is to further explore what
we know and what needs to be done to develop an assets evidence base for public
health.
