Abstract

We have studied the electronic structure of the ordered intermetallic compound Ti-Fe with CsCl structure and a corresponding hypothetical random solid solution on a bcc and CsCl lattice using comparable first-principles self-consistent calculations. The differences of the one-electron spectra en- able us to comment on the nature of bonding and the absence of disorder in this interesting system.
