Abstract

A hybrid bistable optical device is realised by using a liquid crystal light modulator (based on dynamic scattering), placed in a passive cavity which is coupled to a He-Ne laser cavity. The liquid crystal transmission is driven electronically by means of a feedback loop in the device. Â© 1985.
