Abstract
A multimodal network formulation has been applied to existing equivalent circuits for frequency selective surfaces. An arbitrary number of modes can be included, with different dielectric media on each side of the surface. Predicted transmission responses more closely match the measured results with only a modest increase in computing power. The inclusion of the supporting substrate improves the model considerably
