Abstract

The aim of the project is to develop a methodology for evaluating flexicurity policies of the member states. The background is formed by the growing importance attached to flexicurity and work-life balance (WLB) policies within the European Employment Strategy (EES) and the need to monitor and analyse the progress in these domains. For that reason the research forms part of the European Commission’s PROGRESS programme for the next few years that aims to link flexicurity policies in the employment domain to policies in the social domain in regard to social solidarity for establishing a more cohesive society.
