Abstract
Approaches for the microwave-optoelectronic modelling of semiconductor laser transmitters are described. Equivalent circuit modelling of the intrinsic laser and external electrical components in an integrated model allows straightforward simulation For more complex laser structures and applications more detailed modelling of the optoelectronic processes is required, and a combined model has been implemented. The simulation of different applications has been used to demonstrate the utility of the approaches. (6 pages)
