Abstract

This paper provides an editorial introduction to the current special issue on Open Distributed Processing. It

looks back over the development of the ODP standards and at the way in which they have been used, and

looks forward at the way current activities are progressing. It contains a broad bibliography covering ODP

standards, related research work and application case studies.
