Abstract

Wireless networks based on IEEE802.11 specifications have emerged to be the de facto wireless networking technology for modern enterprise networks. When appropriately designed into a network, this commonly available equipment now makes it possible for a whole suite of services to be delivered from a common high performance infrastructure. This paper reviews the types of service now viable, and considers the practical steps that need to be taken to achieve a successful implementation for an enterprise class network.
