Abstract
Second order sliding mode control laws with adaptation are designed for first and second order dynamic systems. The designed controllers do not contain any discontinuity while retaining robustness to bounded disturbances with unknown bounds. Simulation results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed algorithms.
