Abstract
A low cost subnanosecond AND gate is presented based upon a double-gate GaAs metal-oxide semiconductor held-effect transistor. Applications are presented for ANDing coincident pulses, narrowing pulses (from 310 to 120 ps), and discrimination to improve the operation of a photodetector-based AND used in the configuration of a fiber optic multichannel correlator.
