Abstract

Recent literature, including many standard text and reference books, implies directly or indirectly that electro-osmosis (a phenomenon of significance in both the life and physical sciences) cannot take place in non-ionic solutions under applied uniform electric fields, but a molecular dynamic method shows that it does take place in such systems.
