Abstract

A graft copolymer of polystyrene on poly(methylphenylsilylene) was conveniently synthesised by using the bromomethyl groups of bromomethylated poly(methylphenylsilylene) as initiating sites for the bulk polymerisation of styrene by an atom transfer radical mechanism.
