Abstract

The resistivity and thermoelectric power of liquid Ni-Te alloys have been measured as a function of temperature over a wide range of compositions. It is shown that the resistivity of liquid Te can be halved by the addition of less than 10 at % Ni. Comparison with other liquid alloys containing Te is made and a unified model for the atomic and electronic structure is proposed.
