Goodbun, Katie, Abrams, Dominic (2025) Reasons for Hope. The Impact of the Anne Frank Trust 2023-2024. Anne Frank Trust UK, UK, 46 pp. (KAR id:114850)

Abstract

This report evaluates the impact of the Anne Frank Trust UK programmes delivered during the 2023–2024 period. With the largest participant sample to date across a series of reports, it explores how engagement with the Trust’s educational programme, specifically centred around Anne Frank's diary, positively impacts young people’s attitudes towards prejudice, inclusion, and social cohesion. Findings indicate sustained positive effects on empathy, intergroup understanding, and willingness to engage with people from other social groups, with the most significant shifts seen in attitudes towards the Jewish community. The report highlights continued evidence of meaningful impact across school settings, offering reasons for optimism regarding the role of education and biographical contact in addressing prejudice.
