Abstract

This report evaluates the impact of the Anne Frank Trust UK’s anti-prejudice education programmes delivered in schools during the 2019–2020 academic year. It explores changes in young people’s attitudes towards a variety of social groups, focusing on the development of shared identity, empathy, and perceived commonality across social groups. Findings suggest that participation in the programme is associated with more willingness for contact with other groups, increased understanding about the links between prejudice and extremism, and increased recognition of shared human experiences. The report also considers the role of structured educational interventions in fostering inclusive school environments and promoting social cohesion.
