Abstract
Gbenga Oduntan, spoke at the Toronto hearing of the Airspace Tribunal at The Power Plant (online) on 1 November 2020. The hearing considered the case for and against a proposed new human right to protect the freedom to live without physical or psychological threat from above.
Oduntan discusses the militarisation and weaponisation of outer space, increasing threats from above and the case for the proposed new human right from the perspective of African states and the Global South in conversation with Shona Illingworth.
