Abstract
This report evaluates the impact of the Anne Frank Trust UK schools programme on young people’s attitudes towards other social groups. Drawing on data collected during the 2017–2018 academic year, alongside longitudinal evidence since 2016, the study examines both immediate and longer-term changes in participants’ willingness to engage with difference, as well as empathy, knowledge about prejudice, and intentions to stand up for others experiencing hate related bullying. Findings indicate that sustained engagement with the programme is associated with more positive intergroup attitudes, increased awareness of prejudice, and improved confidence in intergroup contact. The report contributes to understanding how educational interventions can foster social cohesion and challenge prejudice among young people in school settings
