Abstract
A single screen video with stereo sound, 35 minutes.
This work includes voices from The Airspace Tribunal, an international people's tribunal established by artist Shona Illingworth and human rights lawyer Nick Grief to consider the case for and against a proposed new human right to live without physical or psychological threat from above. The video artwork includes archive footage, film of the Airspace Tribunal hearings and the voices of experts in human rights, climate change, contemporary global slavery, AI, Hybrid warfare, modern conflict, ecocide, neuropsychology, philosophy, geopolitics, outer space law, cultural studies, environmental degradation and indigenous rights alongside people who have experienced nuclear bombing, chemical warfare, aerial bombardment, drone strikes and air toxicity.
