Abstract
As part of an extensive programme to understand how stars can form, Smith performed large-scale computer simulations. While there have been many studies of astrophysical phenomena on computers, few have processed the images through numerical telescopes to reveal the observable structure and so provide an interface between observation and theory. this work provided an extensive study of one of the most observationally indicated properties. The paper set the scene for international collaborations in order to compare to data to observations. (Impact Factor: 5.352)
