Abstract
An insider threat refers to an individual with authorized access to an organisation’s systems, data, or infrastructure who, whether deliberately or inadvertently, compromises the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of those systems. Insider threats may be intentional, involving deliberate misuse of access for personal, political, or financial gain, or unintentional, arising from negligence, human error, or lack of awareness.
