Abstract
The article explores the growing social scientific field of ‘Graphic Ethnography.’ It locates its development in the second decade of the 21st century and outlines some of its incipient characteristics. The article also reviews the variation in structure and form of graphic ethnographic practice and identifies some of its multiple affordances. This examination is undertaken with an eye towards evaluating the analytical Vs. descriptive potential of the emerging set of practices and its contribution to popularizing Anthropology.
