Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic and the actions taken to control the spread of the virus affected all businesses. During this period, SMEs confronted heightened financial difficulties. In response, the governments devise some measures to relieve financial challenges. This chapter briefly reviews the financial support of the UK government and SME lending market during the pandemic, and to conclude, it raises some potential areas for further probe.
