Abstract

In 2021, the British Society of Criminology (BSC) surveyed its members, many of whom are academic staff teaching criminology in British universities, on issues relating to sexual violence and harassment in higher education. Respondents outlined whether they felt equipped to deal with student disclosures, provided information about their own experiences of sexual violence and harassment, and detailed the extent to which they felt supported by their institutions. This report presents the consolidated findings from the BSC survey along with recommendations for institutions and learned societies.
