Abstract

This chapter introduces the latest edited collection in the European Society for Social Drug Research series. It contextualises the timeliness of a focus on the range of people who use drugs and draws out the relevance of stigma and identity in the way these people are conceptualsied by a range of actors. It provides a guide to the chapters presented in the rest of the collection.
