Abstract
Smart healthcare can benefit patients and care providers. However, several challenges exist related to security and privacy. Security solutions have been developed to protect e-health users and medical databases however systematic guidelines and implementation are not rolled out in smart healthcare systems. Smart healthcare systems have specific demands when addressing security and privacy issues. From the conceptual perspective, we explored research activities related to authentication, access control, and de-identification and focus especially on key functions and features.
