Abstract

This essay illustrates the potential of an arts-based community-led intervention for promoting community connectedness and engagement. We first provide a brief overview of the topic area and then describe the specific arts-based intervention led by People United. We describe findings from a compreh ensive mixed-methods evaluation to demonstrate the effectiveness of this programme for promoting community connectedness and engagement. Finally, we outline the implications of these findings for practitioners and policy-makers.
