Abstract

The second in a series of blogs posted between March and May 2017 to further support MAX toolkit users to make more use of the data collected by the Carers' survey (PSS SACE). The current blog describes how registered users can use the Carer Quality of Life (QOL) tool in the MAX toolkit to calculate an adjusted carer-reported quality of life score. This adjusted score controls for the factors associated with the carer and care-recipient that are known to affect quality of life - but are beyond the control of local authorities - and, by doing so, provides are more accurate and meaningful estimate of service impact.
