Abstract

This report discusses possible roles and functions of occupational therapists in the community - in its narrower sense of neaning "outside the hospital" rather than in the sense of a total community service. The report presents the results of my investigations into some of the present

fields of work undertaken by occupational therapists in the community, the types and methods of work they enploy and their conditions of service. It discusses Some of the problems involved and the opinions of some occupational therapists and allied workers in the community .
