Abstract

A new differential detection method for Coherence Radar which significantly reduces the required dynamic range of the A/D converter is described. The system is implemented through the use of two line-scan CCD cameras and a Mach-Zehnder interferometer. As an illustration, the system is used to measure a variety of sample objects. A comparative analysis with the classical Coherence Radar method using only one line-scan camera shows that the method is particularly suitable when imaging objects composed of several partially transmitting layers.
