Abstract

The influence of the edge region of a waveguide dichroic plate is examined through a series of experiments involving modifications to the ground plane surrounding the area occupied by the guides. Crosspolar levels as high as ¿23 dB can be produced by the edge but with proper design can be reduced below -33 dB.
