Abstract
This paper presents a summary account of a comprehensive study to investigate and analyze the indispensable role of CO2 detection in the CCS stream. Its content addresses CCS facilities as an affordable, secure low-carbon emission energy system and a forerunner solution for the near-future global revolution of energy generation. Various Measurement, Monitoring and Verification (MMV) technologies of CO2 and apposite leakage detection strategies in CCS transportation lines are reviewed. Future perspectives in this research field are also discussed.
