Abstract

This report reviews the first stage of the "Impact on other Agencies" section of the evaluation of "The Landmark Centre". This stage lays the ground for data comparison with the second set of data, collection of which is due to start in Autumn 1991. The results reported here do not represent a complete overview of all the data collected during the first stage interviews, but concentrate on preliminary findings and information.

The report is in four parts:

1. An introductory section presenting the rationale for an external impact study and its overall aims.

2. A methods section describing how the external impact study was operationalised.

3. First stage results section of relevant data, with more emphasis at this stage on issues relating to The Landmark itself than on the voluntary HIV sector generally.

4. Discussion section looking at emerging themes and taking a broader perspective. After discussing the role of The Landmark, it then considers models of social care, organisational factors, potential White Paper effects, and leadership.
