Abstract
The article offers information on an assessment tool that can create reports on residents in care homes. The Minimum Data Set Resident Assessment Instrument, MDS/RAI, for Long Term Care Facilities is stated to be a comprehensive, standardized assessment of residents' needs in longterm care developed by interRAI, which is an international collaboration of practitioners and researchers committed to improving the care of vulnerable populations. It was first implemented in the U.S. in the 1990s.
