Abstract
The Kent & Medway Health Education England (K&M HEE) Training Hub designs and commissions staff training programmes aimed mainly at the primary care workforce. The ‘Be Here’ initiative (https://beherekentandmedway.co.uk/) incorporates a GP Attraction Offer and a Coastal Fellowship scheme aiming to recruit and retain GPs to areas with high levels of social and economic deprivation. In the 2022/23 round, eight trainee GPs were recruited - seven as part of the GP Attraction Offer and one Coastal Fellowship. The aim of the evaluation is to enable learning about the reach and impact of both schemes to be gathered and to inform future rounds.
