Abstract
This report focuses primarily on the impact of the two programmes commissioned in Kent to support family weight management - Don’t Sit Get Fit (DSGF) delivered in Dartford and Gravesham and the county-wide Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) School Nurse ‘Package of Care’. Results for each programme are discussed separately to illustrate the impact on families who accessed the respective services.
Implementation of the integrated family weight management offer (DSGF followed by a Package of Care) is also explored through interviews with three delivery staff across both organisations. These interviews focused on adaptions made to the integrated programme as a consequence of the interim implementation findings published June, 2019.
