Abstract

A photonic approach for RF SIC by using a compact dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator is presented with the demonstration of full duplex communication. For the released standard frequency band of 4.9GHz for 5G communication, the cancellation depth 30dB over bandwidth 20MHz is measured. The maximum interference to signal of interest (SOI) is utilized to characterize the capability of SOI recovery and the interference elimination with the result of 23dB.
