Abstract
<p>The main purpose of this paper is to assess the effects of a reduction in funding for care. In the current difficult fiscal climate (May 2010), a cut in funding for social care seems likely. But what are the consequences for the numbers of people, according to the severity of their need, who would lose council funding support if budgets were cut?
