Abstract

An edited collection of articles from experts in health policy, health economics, health care management and health service research. The book examines the key strategic issues facing health services across the globe into the next millennium. Individual sections contain chapters on: improving quality in health care; using performance indicators; controlling costs in an era of health care reform; and the economic evaluation of health care interventions. In addition, it reports on research and policy implications, and should be of interest to policy-makers, managers, researchers, students and practioners.
